Management team expands after new contract wins

Over the past 9 months Naylor’s has secured a raft of new property management contracts, adding over 500,000sqft to its management portfolio.
The team has recently been appointed by Cable Properties on a portfolio of 6 office and industrial investments throughout the North East comprising in excess of 80 units, as well as a number of industrial estates and multi-let office instructions across Gateshead, Durham and Northumberland.
In addition to new client contracts, the firm says continued acquisition by its retained clients has increased its caseload including an industrial investment in Balliol Business Park on behalf of Buccleuch, an office investment in Darlington on behalf of Kans and Kandy, and a trade counter investment in Kirkcaldy on behalf of Vardy Property.
The property management team is now the firm’s largest department with 9 specialist staff covering property, asset and facilities management. New recruits include Katy Clark as senior surveyor and Emily Armstrong as management surveyor, both of whom are Chartered.
Head of management, Angus White said: “As an independent firm we are very proud to have built up one of the largest property management teams in the North East. The activity over the past 9 months has been very encouraging in securing work for both new and retained clients, as a result of this we have improved the resourcing and skill set in the department and we are delighted to welcome our new recruits.
“Both Emily and Katy are Chartered surveyors with a very hands-on approach to management and both will fit in well with our client and tenant focused service. I am sure on the back of their appointment we will be able to continue to grow the department further.”
The firm has also set up a Company Secretarial Department to enable it to offer company secretarial support to clients who require assistance with filing annual returns and organising AGMs.
Mr White added: “Karla Sweeney, who has been part of the management team for over 5 years and looks after client financial reporting, has worked in her own time to gain a qualification through the Chartered Secretaries Qualifying scheme. Karla’s commitment and dedication has been rewarded and we are keen to make the most of her new qualification by taking on more company secretarial roles for management clients.”
