Naylors appoint new Facilities Surveyor

August 2015

We have recently appointed a new Facilities and Maintenance Surveyor. Tom Gowland joins our busy Facilities Management department as a graduate, having recently completed a building surveying degree at Sheffield Hallam University.  Tom previously undertook a year’s work experience as a property services undergraduate at Transport for Greater Manchester.

Tom’s role at Naylors will be to assist in the management and maintenance of their large portfolio of managed properties, responding to reactive maintenance issues and undertaking regular inspections in order to ensure properties are in a good structural and aesthetic condition. The facilities management department also works on budgeting, compliance, utilities, refurbishment projects and building pathology.

Tom said: “I was attracted to the role at Naylors due their size and reputation within the North East, being one of the leading property consultants within the area. I saw the role as a great opportunity to put the knowledge I gained throughout my university degree into effect, gaining practical experience along the way.  At Naylors I am learning from some of the region’s best property professionals, which I am sure will help me with my next challenge to achieve Chartered status through the RICS.”
