Successful subletting completed on behalf of client in Sunderland

Office Agency

In Q3 2016 Naylors completed the significant letting of 20,557 sqft at Doxford International Business Park in Sunderland to customer contact and marketing specialist Parseq.

Acting on behalf of Calsonic Kansei, Naylors began marketing the offices at Camberwell House in September 2015. The three storey building sits alongside a 100,000 sq.ft warehouse used by Calsonic Kansei for storage and distribution.

Calsonic Kansei which has sites in Washington and Sunderland supplies heat exchangers, air conditioners, exhaust systems, dashboards and electronic components to the automotive industry.

The offices at the site were surplus to requirements for Calsonic Kansei so Naylors were appointed by them to find a suitable subtenant for the duration of their lease.

The office agency team at Naylors put in place a comprehensive marketing campaign which started by giving the previously unnamed building the name Camberwell House. The team then worked on with a creative agency on the design and print of high quality brochures incorporating new professional photography. Other marketing initiatives comprised internet advertising, signage, PR and an onsite launch event.

As a result of the campaign and Naylors market knowledge conversations commenced with Parseq who were looking for new offices at Doxford close to their existing base and viewings were arranged.

Parseq already employ around 1,000 staff in Sunderland and the accommodation acquired at Camberwell House could accommodate a further 700.

Over the course of Spring 2016 lease terms were agreed and solicitors appointed to document a sublease over the majority of the offices at Camberwell House.

Parseq took occupation in August 2016 to commence fitout works.
