The MEA Trust is a well-established North East charity which owns MEA House, a 5-storey multi-let office building in the centre of Newcastle. The charity has no employees and relies on professional firms to help run the building which provides sub-market-cost accommodation to the voluntary sector.

As well as acting as property managers for MEA House, Naylors has also recently been appointed to take responsibility for the day to day running of the charity itself and its legal entity.

Our role covers a range of company secretarial functions, including:
– arranging all Trustee meetings, including the circulating of agendas and the taking of minutes
– ensuring follow up of action points and liaising with third parties
– full compliance with all corporate regulatory requirements, including Companies House and Charity Commission filings
– liaising with our accountants to ensure timely completion and filing of annual accounts
– corporate governance
